Trade Show Sizzle Reel

Project Summary

A trade show floor is a hostile place for video. Attendees decide in seconds whether to stop walking; the screen competes with a hundred others, and sound is useless in the din — so this video was designed without any. A loop has no beginning, either: whoever looks up joins mid-video and has to understand it anyway.

This sizzle reel ran on the large screen at atlasRFIDstore’s booth at MODEX. The outline came from my supervisor; I designed the motion graphics and built the edit, drawing largely on the instructional videos I’d produced for the company — including the RFID Basics series featured in this portfolio — along with existing footage. With no audio channel, every message had to land visually: a few high-contrast words per card, sized to read from across an aisle; animated graphics doing the work that narration normally would; short, self-contained segments that make sense from any entry point. The animated logo doubles as the loop’s seam, re-anchoring the brand each cycle.

Where my instructional videos taught RFID one question at a time, this piece compresses that body of work into a first impression that plays on repeat. It’s the promotional counterpart to the explainers elsewhere in this portfolio — and the same silent, visual-first craft carries directly to course trailers and program promos, where muted autoplay viewing is the norm.
