How to Record eLearning Voice-overs
Project Summary
Sound is invisible, so it’s often — literally — overlooked. Instructors put real work into their online courses, then record the narration in an echoey room on whatever mic is handy, and learners feel it even if they can’t name it. Recording isn’t a skill anyone teaches instructors, so I built a course that does.
I created this self-paced Rise 360 course as a graduate project drawing on my audio production background. It covers how to use your voice behind a mic, what recording gear and editing software actually make sense at different budgets, and how to set up an ordinary space, even a closet, so a voice-over sounds professional. I designed and built the course, made the visuals, and produced some of the video demos myself. When a good video already existed for a topic, I used it instead of remaking it.
